Hi Folks,
We had a another very successful Fly-In or
Drive-In Pancake Breakfast at Lyncrest on Sunday August 16, 2026.
The pancake breakfast success was due to many
Springfield Flying Club volunteers. A very big shout out to the team leaders
that stepped up for various jobs. Equally big thank you to all the other Springfield
Flying Club members and their partners that worked very hard to make this day successful.
Team Leaders:
Raqual Lincoln and her team running the
kitchen.
Marc-Andre Muller and his team for deep
cleaning the kitchen.
Bert Elam and his team cooking the food.
Mark Odegard and his team for managing
visiting aircraft.
Tom Stoyka and his team for aircraft advisory service.
Peter Brooks and his team for aircraft fuel
service.
James Slade and his team for table setup.
The Ninety Nines member Dani and her team working
ticket sales.
Honorable mention to Rick Walls and his
aircraft train! It was a big hit with the kids and adults!
We served 100 adults and 14 children some
fantastic pancakes, blueberries, and sausage, all topped of with coffee and
juice.
14 visiting aircraft joined us and one lucky
pilot took home a case of oil.
Several items were raffled off, and big smiles
were on the happy winners.
Thank you again for all the volunteers that
made this all possible.
